How do pool heat pumps work?

A swimming pool heat pump basically takes heat out of the air and injects it into the water. It does this by working like a refrigerator but in reverse. An integral fan vents the air through an evaporator. The heat that has been taken out of the air is then captured by gas which is flowing through the evaporator. In the refrigerant, the heat is condensed and transferred through a heat exchanger into the pool water. The intelligent design of a heat pump means that the technology is not only very reliable, but it is also environmentally friendly.
